Just grateful

Today started off like any other day and rapidly went down hill. Between dealing with migraines, surgery options for my dad, which I will go into when I have all the options, my brother's football incident, and life in general, I am just grateful.

Why am I grateful?

Some of the reasons include some of the past week's happenings.

I am grateful to have the opportunity to substitute while gaining contacts and experience.

I am grateful for my brother, still at 16, telling me that he loves me.

I am grateful to those who listen to me vent/gripe/cheer and more.

I substitute in the morning and have to be there at 7:15. Therefore, I'm posting tonight. I hope you enjoy your Thursday.

I am writing my Thankful Thursday post a night early since I am subbing early in the morning.

This week has been different than the rest in a few ways and I've found thankfulness in each situation.

First, I am thankful for Parent Teacher conferences on Wednesday. That gave me the day off. :)

Second, I am thankful for sleepy time tea. For three weeks, I've been having it nightly and have slept so much better. Coincidence? I think not!

Thirdly, I am thankful for a comfy bed. I've been wiped by 10 or 11 and have been so thankful for soft sheets and a good mattress.

Just thankful

Good morning sweet peeps! I don’t know about you but this week has been exhausting and full. I am so glad tomorrow is Friday and then the weekend. I don’t know about you but I LOVE the weekend.

This week, I am so thankful for my family and friends. With deaths and tragedies in the family, it’s so nice to know that you have in real life support and online support.

I am forever grateful for support that I receive daily. It sure me feel awesome.

This week, I am especially thankful for SUBSTITUTE TEACHING!! I've taught two days this week and have another job on Thursday. SQUEE! I am having an absolute blast. I am subbing in Junior High, right now, and actually love it. Thank you so much for your well wishes. I have loved opening up my twitter/facebook/email account after school and reading messages.

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday to you all! I had to stop this week and think about all the encouragement and support I receive on a daily/weekly basis. It amazes me how kind and loving people are. I am overwhelmed, sometimes, by their love.

My life has been blessed by great people and lovely friends. I thrive off of encouragement and they always know what to say and how to say it. I am forever grateful.

This week...

I am thankful and grateful for nice comments and daily support.

I am thankful for people who take one minute out of their day to listen to what others say.

I am thankful for insulated cups. Don't laugh. ;)

I am thankful for DVR. When I can't sleep or need a breather, it always has something I can watch. :)

Thankful Thursday

I don't know about you but that three day, fourth of July weekend has had me off track all week long. I LOVED being off on Monday but it feels like it's only Wednesday on Thursday this week. It is so strange, to me. How's your week been? Good, bad, ugly? My week has been interesting to say the least.

Yesterday was Nonni's birthday and she would have been 80. It was rough, on me, that she wasn't here to celebrate it. I realize she is in heaven looking down on me but that was just a rough day all together.

This week, I have so many blessings to celebrate. I'll share a few today.

I am thankful for my Church family who can see right through the generic "I'm fine" spiel and give me words of encouragement.

I am thankful for email. It may sound silly but I thrive off encouragement and kind words. I really don't like the touchy/feely stuff but give me sweet thoughts and you can be my best friend.

I am thankful my second interview with a preschool went smoothly. Granted, I was told that they are still interviewing people but it was so inspiring yesterday afternoon.

I am thankful for the world wide web and all of its apps and such. Little do many know but my phone and I are together most of the day. It's like I am totally true to my online friends and have to keep up with them. I am eternally grateful for those people whom I connect with daily.

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday!! I've been a bit MIA this week but for good reason. I am teaching VBS in the morning for Preschool and in the evening with special needs kids and 5th graders. It is so much fun but is exhausting. I seriously thought yesterday was Wednesday. My days are running together & I love most of the minutes in them.

I am thankful for my brother. Even though his lack of talking (to me) drives me batty. He can be sweet and sentimental when he wants to be. For that, I am thankful.

I am thankful to be able to hang out and let loose sometimes. I went to a friend's indoor soccer game last night and it was an adventure. I know nothing about soccer but it was great!

I am thankful that my dad made it home safely, from Germany (for work), and is back under one roof. Even though he can drive us batty, it's good to have him home.

I am thankful to have my summer intern job again this summer.

Thankful Thursday...my saving grace of the week. It's back and I am hoping to do better with it since the summer is here. Truth be told, my summer, so far, has been crazier and more chaotic than my senior year. Alas, that's life.

This past week...

I am thankful for the support I received following my grandmother's funeral and hospital/hospice hoopla. Not many people can say that they had 24/7 support. I can! From comments to texts to twitter to facebook, I was surrounded with love and support. I truly appreciate it. It may seem small, to say hugs, but every single comment helped and I truly appreciate all that reached out and, pretty much, held me through some of my worst moments. You have no idea how much that helped me realize how LUCKY I am to have ALL my friends!!

This week has literally flown by. I am so excited for this weekend. I get to attend my first out of college wedding and see my BFFs from college. It has only been a week but I MISS THEM.

I am thankful that I have a part time summer job and can (sort of) relax while looking for a teaching job.

I am thankful for learning experiences. While they may not be too well liked at the time; something comes out of it that I learn from.

I am thankful that I get to see my BFFs, from college, on Friday afternoon. One of our friends is getting married this weekend and I am driving up for the wedding.

Wasn't it just the weekend? Where does time go? It sure seems like yesterday was another day of waiting for that 3:00 bell to ring for the weekend. How's your week been? Mine has been challenging but excellent. I am doing what I love, while student teaching, and loving it.

Today my heart is full of sadness and love. The past few weeks have been interesting and I am constantly amazed of Alex and all that he has to go through. Sometimes I think that a child's strength is much more than what an adult could handle. I am blessed with a family that loves and supports each whim and need. 2010 has been a ride of my life and I can't wait to see what 2011 brings.

Finally, Thursday! It has been a s.l.o.w. and EVENTFUL/STRESSFUL week! I so glad today is here. That means the weekend is one day closer! Ahhhh...the fact that I get homework days is such a nice thought...not!

I could vent and rant about what I don't like about this week but I won't. I do have a few thankful things to share about and am glad to take the time to reflect and be thankful!
