It's 4AM!

What am I doing awake?

I was working on a paper and then I got distracted.

Now I am working on a reflection.

Caffeine WILL be my BFF today.

I graduate college with a B.B.S. in Education & Special Education in 26 days.

I am scared out of my mind.

Texas' budget crisis makes my job in the Fall uncertain.

I am in the process of applying to graduate school.

I turn in my senior capstone-portfolio and reflection at 4 today.

SOOOOO glad it is done!!!!

LOVING this Tuesday morning

This morning, I opened my blog and saw that I had TWO new followers and 19, yes 19 comments on my Monday post. Seriously, I have never received 19 comments in my life. I am sure LOVING my Tuesday morning this morning! You guys are AMAZING and make my day. I am also loving the sweet comments these ladies left me on Monday. I have found some new blogs to read and I am EXCITED, can ya tell? THANKS for all the sweet and encouraging comments!!!!

Can not believe...

I can not believe that I have less than 30 days left of the fall semester of 2oo8. Seriously, where did the time go? This only counts actual class days. Time has FLOWN by this semester and I can not believe I will be registering for Spring classes in just a few weeks. I know for sure that I will pretty much have the same time schedule and most of my classes with be Educational ones too.

As for this semester, I have LOTS to do before it is over and I have actually assigned various projects to myself over several days-what a nerd-I know. I am okay with that.

Oh yea...I also can not believe that I spent 5, yes 5, hours in the library yesterday too. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Hope you all are having a great day. Make someone's day and smile at them. A smile goes a LONG way.

Smoke alarms and muffins...oh my (updated)

This morning I was feeling a little domestic and make a batch of apple spice muffins and a batch of pumpkin muffins. Then when I opened the oven and took out the muffins it happened. My spoke alarm went off and would not shut back off. So what did I do? I ripped the battery out. Yes I will eventually put the battery back in, but it keeps beeping like crazy when I try. I am letting the smell of smoke fumes disappear then I will try again. Gotta love apartment ovens that fume of smoke.

**Update**: The muffins did turn out great! As for the recipe, since I am allergic to gluten, soy, wheat, nuts/tree nuts, I used a Nastame muffin brand mix that does not have any of my allergies in it. I have found that the mixes are really good. I just added a little Pumkin spice Pie and Apple spice Pie seasoning into the batter. Glad everyone thought my story was interesting!!!

Just a Tuesday

It is only Tuesday and I am exhausted. Maybe it is because I tossed and turned last night or because I got up at 4am on Monday. What ever it is, I do not like it. I found myself actually wanting to just curl up on the floor and take a nap. Life is crazy right now and I believe that every professor is just piling on the homework for this week and next. Life is going so fast and tomorrow is the start of a new month-October. My question is: where did September go?

So today was tough and tomorrow is just crazy, but I am the coming weeks slow up a bit. I am excited to participate in a heart walk on Saturday morning though. Just getting through this week is my goal.

Success this morning...

So this morning, two buddies and I got up in the wee hours and went to a 5:45am workout class. I am already sore and know it will intensify today, but over all the class went great.

We had to do this class for one of our fitness classes to fulfill the group exercise part. Glad it is over. Yes I will still workout and get up early though.

Just around the corner...

I think Fall may be just around the corner here. Today's high is 73 but it still is about 95% humidity though. I will take what I can get. I am SO READY for fall to be here though. The leaves falling and the nights getting cooler and cooler.

Yes the weather is predicting 80s the rest of the week, but RAIN is in the forecast for the WHOLE week too. I love the RAIN. It may flood everywhere, but I LOVE it.

Tuesday Ramblings...

** I LOVE being early to school, meetings, ect
** God is my rock and teaches me things daily
** I LOVE learning
** I have been craving carbs lately-what is the deal?
** I actually like getting up at 5:55am each morning; third morning in a row.
** Trying to have a sleep schedule has been helping me
** I am tired of college students who are lazy and make others look bad.
** I do my homework and am usually the only one to admit it
** My planner is like my baby. I am lost without it
** Labor Day had great TV on. Talk about movies and marathons
** I LOVE COLLEGE
** Military guys in uniform were at Subway today :)
** I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kiddos
** I would love to be able to nap--usually can not
** I am learning to take time for myself and have fun
** I am learning to relax
** Food allergies are NOT slowing me down
** I LOVE football
** I love my life that I live

A Waiting Game...

So I took both of my finals this morning and for the most part they went well. I rocked with the American Literature test but as far as the American Government test is concerned, it is a waiting game now. I have to get at least a "78" to get a "C" and never have to take this course again.

Now I am praying for a "C" so that I can not take this course again. The good thing about this grade is the fact that it DOES NOT affect my GPA at HSU. The hours just, and I mean just, transfer. So now it is a waiting game.

As for the migraine, it is now just a headache that is still constant.

What's the deal???

Do adults, over 18 that is, get growth spurts?

Why am I asking? I am have been hungry for the past two days now and am not getting much sleep tonight. I sound like, to myself, I am falling apart when my legs, back, and head HURT all at the same time.

Just curious what the deal is. I love food, but I do not want to be thinking of it constantly. Hopefully whatever this is will past SOON!!!

Much better NOW

So the start of this week was ROUGH, no doubt. I wanted to thank you all for your sweet encouragement notes. I really need them. As for me, I am EXTREMELY tired tonight since I did not get much shuteye last night. Why you ask? I had 2 American Government tests and 1 American Literature test today. Got to the testing at 9:30 and left at 3:30pm. My AmL test took 3 hours and the others took about an hour and a half each. So today was eventful as well.

If you have not heard about Christian, the lion, click on his name and you MUST watch the you tube video. Be prepared to cry with joy! I know I did. Not much of a crier, but these days, do not get me started.

Lovely Tuesday...

Its Tuesday and I am up at 12:45am. WHY you ask? Short story is that my family and I were planning a vacation, got all excited, and were up late. I NEED a vacation very badly! The dates are set, now we are just looking into places and prices.

VBS is going great!!! The morning session is interesting. Seven boys and three girls today. The evening session is more low-key and easier (I think). I really love all my kiddos SO MUCH!!! By the end of the day though, I love my shower and clean clothes since the Texas heat gets to me.

Now to my confession-I have never really said that "God put something in my path" until now. I love working with kids, granted. But I also love the preschool and special needs ages. They are like sponges and so sweet. I truly believe that I am doing what God wants me to do.

In other news, Texas is hot and humid right now, go figure. College course is HARD but okay and I am allowing myself to have LOTS of fun this week!

Thoughtful Tuesday...

So today I thought I would start a new, weekly post: Thoughtful Tuesdays! I am so blessed and always have family beside me! Life is not always perfect and things do not always go my way, but I have realized that I have a pretty awesome life! Life may not always be the way that it seems, but in the end and realizing what is important is ALL that matters!

A side note to all that read this blog-THANKS from the bottom of my heart! I really appreciate all the support and wisdom!

I have come to an understanding about life-God gave me my life for a reason and while I still have unexpected surprises and hiccups, HE is the one who told me I could live in this world! HE is the one who made my life worth living!!!
