Smoke alarms and muffins...oh my (updated)

This morning I was feeling a little domestic and make a batch of apple spice muffins and a batch of pumpkin muffins. Then when I opened the oven and took out the muffins it happened. My spoke alarm went off and would not shut back off. So what did I do? I ripped the battery out. Yes I will eventually put the battery back in, but it keeps beeping like crazy when I try. I am letting the smell of smoke fumes disappear then I will try again. Gotta love apartment ovens that fume of smoke.

**Update**: The muffins did turn out great! As for the recipe, since I am allergic to gluten, soy, wheat, nuts/tree nuts, I used a Nastame muffin brand mix that does not have any of my allergies in it. I have found that the mixes are really good. I just added a little Pumkin spice Pie and Apple spice Pie seasoning into the batter. Glad everyone thought my story was interesting!!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!!!!

Monday ramblings...

So its Monday and I really do not like Mondays. I have a hard time getting over the weekend and adjusting to the new week ahead. Monday is tough since the weekend just finished and the next one is 5 days away.

Today has been domestic and tough. I am struggling with allergies and I really, REALLY dislike allergies! We, my family and I, tried a new recipe and I believe that I am allergic to the mix, since I am itchy all over and just feeling yuck! It was a mix in a different flavor that I have tried before, but I just think I am allergic to this chocolate flavor:(. Oh well, now I know!!!

So today has been full of allergy meds and relaxation. Other than allergies, I have been doing lots and lots of laundry. I am on load number 4 and have two or three more to go. I am doing all my bedding and clothes. It has just been a domestic day, in my opinion. I am also cooking dinner, and will probably go swimming tonight!

Funny story-my brother and I went swimming last night and he and I wrestled (played around) in the pool and he is alot stronger than a few months ago. So last night after I got showered and changed, I had a very strong feeling of being tired. The kid wore me out by just wrestling with me. I had a lot of fun, but my little brother who is 7 years younger than I wore me out. What a concept. I can not believe he is 13 now. I told him he will always be my little brother though. He has scouts tonight, so I will do laps instead. Oh well! He will wear me out again, eventually!!!

Have a great week!!!
