The sounds of late night

I am choosing to stay up late and do a little homework in the quiet, peaceful house at this very moment.

Right now, it's nearing 2AM and I am awake.
I hear the computer humming away and the pecking of the keyboard.
I hear soft snores from downstairs.
I hear the engines of cars returning home.
I hear myself breathing in and out.
I hear a few rumblings of the trees outside.
I hear my every movement against my clothes and bed.
I hear the heater kicking on and off.

I hear quiet at it's finest!!

Only he...

can keep me up until Midnight since he forgot to give me a project over the weekend! Don't worry, it's not the first night this has happened. Procrastination at it's finest! But I love him and he's worth it!

Nightmare on Ely

Early Sunday morning I woke up to myself screaming out loud and drenched in a cold sweat. I then remembered and recalled that horrific nightmare that I hope to never have again. I live by myself and always make sure to lock both deadbolts before going to bed. But the nightmare seemed all too real as I recalled someone unlocking both deadbolts (one has no lock on the outside), creeping into my bedroom, and placing their hand on my head. I woke up with my eyes wide open and screaming. I then woke up! Both bolts were still locked.

Sure this was all a big nightmare but it scared the willies out of me. So even though I was OCD about making sure both deadbolts were bolted...now I will always double check even though I know they are bolted.

On Friday night, I went out! I met some LOVELY and AWESOME ladies who also blog. I met all of these ladies at a tea room in DFW. There we mingled, hugged, laughed, and talked. I got to meet Suz, Casey, Liz, Misty, Alicia, and Jen after blogging with them for so long. Wordful Wednesday

Can you believe it's already Wednesday...I can't! Well, here is the man who made my Tuesday night one that I will never forget.

Daddy so nicely forced asked me to type/make a 40 slide PowerPoint Presentation in one night! So I spent my time...4 hours...doing a presentation that I had lots of knowledge no idea about. By the way...if you ever give me a last minute assignment like that I will laugh in your face and reject it pleasantly complete it. So dad, your presentation will be stellar all because of me and my mad skills at the computer.

Can you tell I was really excited about helping this man? Well...I did learn a few things while in the process but this was not really how I wanted to spend my Tuesday night ;) I have warned him that this can not happen again and with my mad perfectionist skills...WILL NOT be completed as nicely if there is a next time! Gotta love things at the last minute...don't you? I DO NOT!!!

Thankful Thursday...

Life is sure busy right now and I am actually posting this at 1:06am. Really, me? Yes! I had a burst of energy (did not drink any caffeine) and am currently working on one of my projects that is due Friday. I may have a bunch on my plate, but I thought I would take some time to say what I am thankful for.

So here I go with my top 5:
** Health-after getting a tonsillectomy/adnoidectomy this summer, I have NOT had a sinus infection yet. Cross your fingers!!!
** Preventive antibiotic-my sweet and genius Pulmonologist/Allergist prescribed me a low dose for the winter/spring to fight off infection and it seems to be working!!!
** Comfy and soft pants-seriously...being comfy is wonderful!
** Email-gotta love it!
** Sweet people who care

Life throws in hurdles and triumphs, but the way they are handled can make life easy or really rough. Life is really tough right now, but I am so thankful for so much!!!

Have a great Thursday!!!!

A debut during Grey's

So if you remember a few posts back, I had a little critter crawl across the floor very early one morning. Well last night it happened again, but this time, I was on the floor making a volcano for my science project and watching Grey's Anatomy. Well this thing comes out from underneath my tv stand and runs toward my linen/hall closet. I jumped up real quick and got on the couch with the cell phone in hand.

First I freaked and called my parents...who were at dinner. My sister could not stop laughing, my mom and dad were much more help though. Dad tells me to go get traps. I did but there were so many to choose so I am going back to the store today to get more. I seriously talked to my mom and dad five times last night. The little bugger caused me to be awake till 2AM this morning.

The interesting thing is that the apartment service and sprayed for critters yesterday. They also left me these sticky mouse traps that do stick quite well to things. I have a few around the apartment and will be getting more traps later day. The second interesting thing is that another renter and I have class together and she has seen a whole where they can get in. I am on a mission to find this whole when I am done with work tonight. Then I will call the apartment people.

The joys of living in an apartment. So I hope you are not laughing your heads off. Now I find it a tad humorous, but last night was a different story. Hope you all had a less eventful night/morning.

Homework...

So it is 9pm at night and I am doing homework. I have come to accept that my homework load is increasing rapidly, but come on. This is ridiculous. I spent 4.5 hours in the library today and got a majority of my reading done for ONE class. NO, I am not complaining, just venting. I think my goal next week is to try to get more homework done before Sunday. I know, I know I procrastinated a bit, but I am a college student who wanted a few hours with out homework. Is that too much to ask? NO!!!!!

So yes this weekend has been BUSY and a tad stressful but I am hoping that this week is not as stressful. After Wednesday, it should be downhill. I just have to get through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday-oh joy. I have two quizzes on Monday in the SAME class, a meeting with my observation school principal that afternoon, a test on Tuesday over SIX chapters, and a lab project due on Wednesday!!!! Geez-can a girl get a break or what?

So I hope this week is not as stressful for you as it is for me!!

Enjoy your dreams!!!!
