First and foremost I want to thank all of you for your sweet thoughts and prayers throughout this past week. If you follow me on twitter, I said something to the effect of pray for my medical issues right now. I am going to go ahead and spill it now to you all. These are not life threatening but just a pain in my side right now day in and out.
I was put on Nexium 40mg for my acid reflux disease and it is not doing its job right now at all. I am in pain and nothing is really relieving it. AH! It worked for a while but it came back with a vengeance. I believe a GI will be in my future soon. Then to make matters worse I am fighting with chronic thrush in my mouth and it keeps coming back. This past month, I have been on the oral lozenges and had Diflucan on three different occasions. This bites...literally! I have tried limiting starches/sugar but have had no avail. I am not stressing much either so it's not that! Next up I will try something homeopathic to try to kick this. UH...not what I need.
So right now...I am loving college and my life right now is actually wonderful asides from my medical drama. But hey...if some sort of drama were not in my life I would actually be a little off so everyday is a new day and today I will see as just that!

Back to square one
Thank you for your prayers this morning. I really do appreciate them. My doctor's appointment did not go as well as planned and kind of made me upset. The doctor did not necessarily do anything wrong yet he did upset me. Make sense? I was basically told that he could not recommend anything new for me. Well wonderful Doc!
So now I am back to square one. I will be seeking a second opinion eventually but right now I have to focus on school. Right now, I am prone to multiple infections and would love to figure out why and how to prevent or have less infections. No one can explain this to me therefore, when I go home for the holidays (Christmas), I will attempt to look into doctors and research more in depth.
The doctors have never given me a real exact answer and all I want to do is know how to prevent infections. You would think this would be easy...but I drew the lucky straw and someone has to piece together my puzzle.
I know, eventually, someone will figure out what is up. But for now, all I can do is pray and research!
Your continued prayers are appreciated!

I don't understand why...
I don't understand why I have thrush right now. I have been sticking to what I have been told and I am not even on antibiotics. GRRR! I eat yogurt with the good cultures in it, am NOT on antibiotics right now, and have been taking probiotics, plus I have stayed away from sick people. GRRR!
Sorry...just had to vent! I am at a loss for words/answers to why I have this right now! Okay vent over!

Apparently I'm weird...and just sick really
Apparently 'I'm weird' is what I was told today. Today I had to visit a place I have not been in a while...the doctor. I went in because I had a sneak suspicion that I had a Sinus Infection. Had a great doctor's appointment, at a walk in clinic, and was in and out in less than an hour with meds for a Sinus Infection. Then I went to Walgreens to get my prescription filled. Waited for about 20 minutes and was called. Pharmacist wanted to talk to me. I new what this was about. I had also turned in my preventative antibiotic as well since seeing that it needed to be filled.
So the conversation went something like this:
Me:I was told you wanted to speak to me.
Pharmacist: Yes, you turned in two antibiotic prescriptions for two different doctors. Care to explain?
Me: Yes...my allergist/pulminologist put he on the low dose of an antibiotic to prevent me from being sick all winter long. Dr. N (today) put me on this prescription because I have a sinus infection.
P: Did Dr.N know you were on the other antibiotic?
Me: Yes and he said that was fine.
P: Well, you are just weird and this kind of treatment is too.
Me: (tried to be nice by then) Thanks...I'm trusting my doctors.
Seriously...I understand it may be a little different...but this is not very nice. I have had another Pharmacist question me when I was put on two prescriptions back at home, but calling me weird. What in the world. Glad P has some nice manners-HA.
So I may have written too soon on Thursday when I said that I have not had a Sinus Infection since August, but with everything going around I knew I was bound to catch a cold at least. I am hoping that this junk in my head goes away soon...since FINALS start Monday.
Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully no one will call you weird this weekend. Words may be words but they can be hurtful at times. Some people need to think before they speak.

GOD is so GOOD
Today I had a God moment and I thought I would share. You see, I was at an Allergy and Asthma appointment today and I was referred to the ENT since I have had 22 infections in the last year. So on a whim, I called a referred ENT and I for sure thought that I would not get an appointment for a month. Well guess what? I got an appointment tomorrow at 2:30. I am nervous and glad all at the same time. How did I get this awesome appointment? There was a cancellation.
So Tuesday will be a very busy day, but it is so worth it!!!
GOD IS SO GOOD!!! Prayers work so WELL!!!

Another Diagnoses
So I went to the doctor's office today since I have not been feeling really great lately and I have officially been put back on antibiotics. In my right ear, I have a middle and inner ear infection. Apparently, I have an infection in front of and behind my ear drum. What luck...not!!! Then I have a throat infection that the doctor said was bacterial. So needless to say, I am feeling yucky! I am tired of being on antibiotics. Now I am on antibiotic drops, oral antibiotics, and antibiotic steroids!
No my life is not ending, but I am tired of being sick. It has been about a month since I was last on antibiotics, but I should be going longer than that! Hopefully when I go home and have a chance to relax, my immune system will build up before cold and flu time comes around again. I think also being out of the dorm this summer will help to. Living around all my allergies, in the dorm, does not help at all. So I will be home in one week!
I am so excited that I will be going home in one week. But I still have to pack and take finals. Oh joy!! Not looking foward to doing either of these. But they have to be done.
