I've realized that...

* baking makes life just a little more sweeter.

* allergy-free cooking ROCKS!

* being the oldest sibling is sometimes difficult.

* summer is going way too fast.

* I still love taking pictures and am not always the fastest at posting them.

* there are (sometimes) not enough hours in the day.

* I can plan but reality then hits.

* I like being in shorts & a t-shirt!

* it's okay not to be perfect.

I've realized that it is good to be home!

Sunday Sermon

This morning while contemplating church, I remember that my favorite pastor, Dr. Cindy Ryan, was preaching, so I got out of bed and went to church before Sunday School. My church is doing a series for Advent and this Sunday's sermon was titled "Worship Fully." Basically it was about not overbooking yourself during this time of year and actually subtracting something from your busy lifestyle. She specifically told the women that she knows that we carry some of the burden with family in town, meals, kids, and ect... She stated that a few years ago she came to the realization that people actually become a list making machine and that life is more than just lists.

I have come to the conclusion that this year, I will make my best effort to say the magic word "no" a little more and actually enjoy this time of the year. Granted, life may push through this plan a little, but in reality, I can make my own schedule and include a little less during this season. During this season, I plan to actually enjoy the days coming and going. The week may drag a little, but enjoying those around you is actually a good thing-most of the time.

Have a wonderful afternoon!!!!

A moment of...what was I thinking...

A moment of "what was I thinking" hit me last night and I thought I would share. Round one of Summer school ended on the third and Round two starts on July seventh. This time I am taking TWO summer classes: American Government and American Literature. Now here is the kicker. I will be out of commission from July 11th to July 18th due to various reasons. I have an American Literature test on the 21st.

Then for me to make up my first American Government test that I missed during my 'out of commission days,' I have to make up the first test on the same day as the second test. Therefore, I will be taking two, count them, two tests on July 22nd. Needless to say that week will DRAG ON FOREVER! So yes, that was my 'what was I thinking' slash freak out moment. Yes, I will do fine, but I freaked out for a little bit.

Have a great Saturday!!!
