I'm back & thank you

HOLY MOLY batman! This past week almost took the best out of me. Between our school newspaper getting scammed to my truck and all its insurance drama to little sleep and much stress...I think I survived!

First of all...THANK YOU for your prayers and good vibes sent my way. I really appreciated it! I also needed them. So...THANK YOU!!!

I just, today, finished a 28 page unit for third graders. For a class, I have to teach for four days. My topic is on early colonization of America. We will discuss Native Americans, Explorers, and Pilgrims. I am literally relieved that this darn unit is done. Sitting in front of the computer screen for hours is not my cup of tea and looking at the same darn document for a week is not that fun. But it is mostly over and now comes the fun part...eek!

Short story-my newspaper got a call saying that a company, who had done a full page ad in our paper, was hacked into and the company's credit card was stolen. SO we are now working with the FBI and the company and our newspaper to get everything straightened out. This hit the fan on Wednesday evening.

My truck drama-The insurance companies are now involved and we are going back and forth with communication. That is a whole hassle and blessing in itself.

Stress & Little sleep-I promise you that I will get much more sleep this week. I got all worked up with this 28 page assignment and it took, literally, everything out of me. Since it is now done, I may be more pleasant this week.

Thoughts of my last week as a college freshman: Part 2

Today I met this sweet young man. His name is Tyrone. He has some difficulties in life, but that does not slow him down. He ate lunch and dinner with me and made my day. He is such a sweet guy and does not let his "differences" slow him down. What a guy. He made my day and was just so sweet. Sometimes I love when I am thrown into different situations. I am glad I made a new friend.

With a final today and one tomorrow, I have been a tad stressed, but Tyrone made my day. I have the opportunity to attend HSU and I am so glad. I have met so many people and I am so thankful. On a side note, I am very tired since I took a comprehensive Bible final that lasted over 3 hours. So I am going to hit the sack early and take another final at 8am on Wednesday. Then I work that afternoon and evening.

So that is just a little rambling from today! Hope you had a great day!!!

Have a great week!!!

Just try me...

This week has been very difficult to say the least! Life as I know it is trying me! Some people just do not know when to stop trying my patience. I am usually a very nice person to everyone, but when someone breaks the rules, gets caught, then tells me that he is not going to stop his mischief, what am I supposed to do? Some people just have nerve!

This week has just been extremely long and trying! College kids have extreme spring fever and they are taking advantage of it!!! What is a girl to do??? So I am mad and trying to just relax. But it is easier said than done.

Weekend plans include going home to go an all-day conference in Richardson, TX. It is associated with Alpha Phi Omega. I am very excited!!! Then I will come back late Saturday night, go to work on Sunday morning, visit some friends, then do a lot of homework on Sunday afternoon!!! What a weekend plan! I am so ready not to have to do homework all the time!!!

Have a great weekend!!!
