Last night, I had a reaction. What kind of reaction...an allergic reaction and I did actually consider going to the ER. My chest did not get tight, but I broke out in hives and was itching like crazy. After 3 tsp of Benedryl and a breathing treatment just in case, I calmed down a little and decided not to go. The kicker is that I have NO idea what caused it. I keep thinking back and nothing is ringing a bell.
So my present fears are allergies. Being allergic to foods and the environment does not help and having no idea what caused this reaction is driving me nuts! My legs are still itchy & are still spotted with red spots, but this is a reality check for me. I always have to be on the lookout for allergy foods and things I must not come in contact with. So, basically I am on high alert this week and being VERY careful of what I come in contact with.
Some of you have asked what foods I am allergic to, so here you go: Soy (all), wheat, gluten, nuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. I am also allergic to common allergies in the environment too. So basically I am always on allergy medicine and have Benedryl handy just in case.
If you live with allergies, I know what you are going through. If you don't have allergies, consider yourself lucky. Allergies are serious and should always be taken seriously!

Poor thing! I can totally relate. I have chronic hives. I have to stay on Zyrtec or I'd constantly have them. The source has never been discovered, and I've been on Zyrtec for years. I also have allergy/illness induced asthma.
Our youngest son has a severe allergy to tree nuts. He has to keep an Epi Pen with him.
I'm so sorry you have so many food allergies. What a pain!
Hope you feel better, soon.
I get hives if I get under a lot of pressure. You are close to finals and have more homework than should be allowed by law. But this is just a theory. Feel better soon.
Wow...you poor thing. That'd be awful! The reaction could be due to stress over finals too. Hopefully everything will be okay soon...almost over!
Icky!!!! Did you switch soaps or lotions or anything? That sounds more like a reaction to something in the environment. Ew.
I have tons and tons of allergies as well, so I know how scary it is to NOT KNOW what it was that triggered the reaction. Hang in there!
What a great post. My son has life threatening food allergies, and my daughter environmental allergies. My heart goes out to you... We can relate to what you go through, it is very scary.
God bless you for that wonderful post, I love to hear when people urge others of the severity of allergies.
Have a blessed day. Adorable blog by the way...
You better be careful with this.
