This morning while contemplating church, I remember that my favorite pastor, Dr. Cindy Ryan, was preaching, so I got out of bed and went to church before Sunday School. My church is doing a series for Advent and this Sunday's sermon was titled "Worship Fully." Basically it was about not overbooking yourself during this time of year and actually subtracting something from your busy lifestyle. She specifically told the women that she knows that we carry some of the burden with family in town, meals, kids, and ect... She stated that a few years ago she came to the realization that people actually become a list making machine and that life is more than just lists.
I have come to the conclusion that this year, I will make my best effort to say the magic word "no" a little more and actually enjoy this time of the year. Granted, life may push through this plan a little, but in reality, I can make my own schedule and include a little less during this season. During this season, I plan to actually enjoy the days coming and going. The week may drag a little, but enjoying those around you is actually a good thing-most of the time.
Have a wonderful afternoon!!!!

Good advice, Rach and I were just talking about that the other day.
We really need to slow down and enjoy the reason for the season..
Happy Holidays:o)
couldn't agree more. seems like we are always on the go during the holidays. I enjoy staying busy, but I also like to enjoy myself. Great advice!
I agree completely. I'm listening to Cindy.
Very true. I have always had a hard time saying no, and having the boys is what has finally made me better about it.
Sounds like a wooooonderful idea to me! As I've gotten older, saying "no" has become much easier. :o)
